So a little background on me i am a 20 year old female and had a child 15 month ago. Around november maybe even longer i don't quite remember i started this twitching in my left foot it is mostly my middle toe and the other little ones and you can feel it in the bottom of my foot. Also once in a while i will have some twitching in my left finger. What scares me is i see people on here with bfs but they have twitching everywhere mine is really just in my foot. i am scared i have the deadly a** and because i have twitching in my left foot. i am a very young mother and am beside my self with anxiety and i don't go see a neurologist for another couple weeks. Thanks for any help. Also i am having electric/ vibration feelings/ pulse feeling in my left foot? what could this be does this sound like bfs with the twitching or something else? and i don't think it is from me having my baby cause everything was fine after i had him and started later on. Looking for reassurance with my anxiety and hoping its nothing bad!

Hi and Welcome!! :D) ..I am confident this is nothing bad...your age alone would make anything sinister, be so rare and unlikely that you would have a better chance at winning the lottery a few times :D) Also..ALS isnt going to start with electric/pulsing or vibrating or buzzing anything...All that is sensory and ALS doesnt do damage to the sensory nerves...Just the motor nerves..that is why its called a Motor Neuron Disease...Now...could this be BFS still..yes..it could very well be...There are many BFSers that start with a localized twitch and then a few months or so the twitches spread out...also there are some with BFS that dont get the wide spread twitching as much as others...So it could very well be that your just early in your BFS experience..Also..maybe if you can get your anxiety down..your twitching may never go widespread..Most BFSers start with somewhat localized twitching in an area or two..then go on to read about stuff we shouldnt ..and then the twitching just explodes..So stop reading stuff now lol...Good luck with your neuro appt..and let us know how things go if you dont mind sharing..I personally think everything will go well...Its possible that you just have a damaged nerve or something..So I would not sit and stress over this one..Take careRobynn LeAnne :)

Thank you! Now about my twitching in my left foot/ heal/ toes could that be something of a** I have heard that twitching would come well after the loose of muscle movement like if I had it I wouldn't be able to move my toes or foot or even feel the twitching but other I heard twitching can come first or along equal with a**? Cause now I read this I feel like I am having mucsle weakness and my anxiety is even more up. Thanks again for any help.

Hi Lindsey,Leanne always gives great advice, she make a lot of great points. Your age alone make it extremely unlikely to be anything sinister, add to that the presentation of your symptoms etc. You recognize that you have high anxiety because of all of this, so that is good reason as to why your symptoms may seem to be changing, feeling like they are getting worse. My symptoms started after I had my first child 8 months ago, I've experienced so many symptoms in this short amount of time. Even though you had your child 15 months ago, you may still be suffering from untreated Post-Partum Anxiety. It's actually very common, but not discussed as much as PPD. Many of the doctors I have seen expressed this may be going on with me, and to seek treatment. Of course I don't know if that is what's going on with you, but your story sounds so very common on these boards. I totally relate to your anxiety and fear, I still deal with it on a day to day basis. I hope you feel better soon.
