Working on Yeast and BFS Cure?

Looking over old posts, anyone working still on the yeast angle? There were members that said their BFS was cured by anti-yeast diet or threelac. There is a doc that is selling vitaspice that said he was cured of his BFS...could this be an anti-yeast thing? Some are taking other anti yeast stuff. Who out there has has had positive or negitive results? I am assuming that some folks that are "cured" may not still be checking this site.

Hi chip
Last year when I began to first experince BFS (didnt know what it was at this particular point) I went to a nutritionists and began a very restricted diet which cut out dairy, caffine, sugar and yeast. I had to take medicine every day to kill off the yeast and after five months I stopped (apart from being totally bored with the restricted stuff!) I suppose I was yeast free by then, but no relief from BFS, in actual fact it may have worstened it.
Sorry not positive (unless I didnt quite understand what you meant!!! )

Chip,
It depends on the situation. If you are going to take Threelac only for BFS and you don't have any of other yeast symptoms, don't bother. BFS has many causes. One of them can be yeast. I had BFS and lots of other symptoms.

Yes, I took Threelac after careful consideration. I even tried this stupid diet first. Let me tell you one thing: this diet is not healthy! For a couple of weeks, fine. But not for months and months (which it takes at least to do something for yeast) and maybe even lifetime. The antibacterial supplements that most of the time are prescribed in conjunction with the diet, do more harm than good. Sure, they kill bacteria, sure they will problaby tackle some of the yeast but what most people don't realize is that they kill good bacteria as well! You need good bacteria to fight of yeast. You need special ingredients that kill yeast cells only. Threelac does what it promises.... if you indeed suffer from a yeast infection.

Take a look at for example for symptoms or google yourself for more websites to see if you fit in the general yeast pattern.

I am cured? No not yet. I am a lot better? YES! Is my BFS gone? No, not yet totaly but it is much more manageble now. Ofcourse I have to take care I don't take sugars (like yesterday, ate chocolate and I am regretting it today) but Threelac certainly helped me.

Though Tui who was the first here to attrack my attention on Threelac, almost got lynched because some suspected her of marketing strategies or selling it, I am so glad she did and will be grateful for ever. Those who read this post and recognize I am referring to them: little do you know!

If it is really die-off, this could mean your twitches are caused by yeast overgrowth. I got terrible twitching during die-off. Much worse than I ever had before. I panicked big time and had to convince myself time and time again it was die-off to not completely freak out.

TG I did, I am on the way to recovery.

I guess I should reappear and give an update on how I'm doing.

I started taking Threelac in December last year because I not only had twitching, I had recurrent trush, constipation, athletes foot, floaters, etc etc. My research led me to and it actually took me 4 months since the symptoms began to come across that site and decide to give it a go.

I found a NZ supplier (where I live) and began a daily regimen. And man... was it horrible during the first 2-3 weeks. My symptoms got so much worse, I was fatigued, my vision became blurry. I almost gave up but, as smali said, I convinced myself it was the die off. And sure enough after those initial three weeks my symptoms slowly started to disappear. Yes I still had some twitching but hardly worth a mention.

Three months down the track my symptoms were reduced to such a low level that I, st*pidly, decided to stop taking Threelac. I was fine I thought. Back to my old self. During the first couple of months I WAS fine, but then my symptoms started to slowly come back...

To the point where recently I not only had twitching, thrush etc, but also tinnitus, headaches...

So I started taking Threelac again and for the first 2 weeks I thought I was definitelly dying. But now tinnitus is gone, headaches are gone, buzzing sensations are not as pronounced, and twitches are not as frequent. One thing that bothers me more than anything is the floaters, mainly because I'm not convinced these will ever disappear. I guess the time will tell.

My GP thinks that thrush is not connected to the twitching. But I choose to disagree, because I never used to get it like that in the past. She's sending me to a neuro and I'll go, just to get a confirmation there's nothing dodgy going on. But I will stay with Threelac for a while and get my partner to use it too just to make sure that we are not passing yeast to each other.

Smali is right and another person's BFS symptoms may be caused by something completely different. So you need to ensure that you have a variety of other symptoms too.

It would be very interesting if you folks who have doubts do the spit test.

This can't hurt, won't cost you a penny and it might convince you BFS and your other symptoms can be caused by yeast. I thought twitches as a yeast symptom were pretty rare but reading all this makes me wonder if it might be much more common.

Just yesterday my husband was telling me I look better than I did in 5-7 years. He is sure I must feel better than I did in 5-7 years. This is not entirely true (yet) but at least I have the appearance again. And yes, I do feel better than I did a year ago when everything started to be unbearable for me. If I am honest I can say I have had other symptoms (besides BFS) many years earlier. Now I know, now I understand. I am thrilled it seems to be all connected instead of having several different medical conditions. I am even more thrilled I finally found my cure.

Aussikate,

keep us up to date if you try threelac. Has there been anyone out there that has tried it and not worked? The floaters that you have, like mine, add an extra ingredent into the stess factor of bfs...the anxiety causes stress which causes increase cortisol (I believe) which causes increase floaters which causes increase stress...."this is the song that never ends". Must stop the stress and break the cycle and your mind can do this.

I got an increase in floaters when I got BFS and they have not gone away. Although right before or actually during the first week of BFS I had this (what the Dr.'s call) migraine. I always had occular migraines but not like this I told them. This was something else but they say no. All of a sudden I saw gold spots perfectly shaped into a paneled curtain tied back, then everything went black and I had this burning sensation in my mouth, legs, up my back and then hit my chest and stopped. I still could not see and I waved my hands out in front of me and saw only a vague trail of hands as I waved them. It was over in 2 minutes but the longest, scarry two minutes of my life. Every since then green and red colors do not look the same and now I have floaters. I do not think it is yeast that could do that to me, I think it was my brain. They checked me for a stroke or a tumor and nothing. I do not know alot about yeast but do know I am probably full of it since I love everything and anything with sugar.. :) Although I am stopping all sweets now but I know yeast is in more then that.

ANyway I do get floaters and still have them, just ignore them now and hope that someday they will leave but if they get worse then I would like to have them taken out...Jenn

Jenn, you really can not take floaters out. I went to a retinal doc who said I looked fine. The floaters are caused by "aging" with the two layors in the back of your eye slighly pealing away from each other causing a small about of bleeding. What you see is the residual of the bleeding with debris. Do not google floaters. There is a floater forum out there just like our forum...you don't want to get involved with their neurois too. Now having given you the "party line", I can not believe that floaters are casued only by aging. I think that extreem stress does it some how...epinephrine, norepinephrin or cortisol, whatever.

HI Chip,

You can have floaters removed. I know people who have had it done. Also here is a link to that....

Scroll down to the last paragraph, it just touches on it some. I can show you other sights but in a hurry right now. Of course treatment is dependent on why you have the floaters. Dr.'s first will try drops, vitamins, some herbs.

I hope all is well with you...Jenn

Isn't candida just another name for a yeast infection? I can tell you right now, I don't have any STD's. How is it possible to contract a yeast infection without being 1) a woman or 2) have an STD?
