What Does the Time Frame Mean for MND/Twitching?

I was wondering how long each we need to twitch to be clear of any MND or any other issues. I see where many of you celebrate the 6 month mark and the one year mark. I was just wondering why those months. I was always told and read 3 months with twitching and no weakness means your clear. Just curious.

It's all pretty much arbitrary. Some people (most around here) say one year but to me that's waaaaaaaay too long. Honestly, if you don't have actual signs of weakness-- real, debilitating, stuff isn't working anymore weakness-- after about 2 months, I can't see any way you would ever have it. I don't see any reason to torture yourself by saying you need to wait a year. If you aint weak, you're probably not gonna get weak.

There is no "month milestone" when you are "clear". If you have been seen by a doctor, and told you are fine, then you are fine, and "clear".People celebrate the months more as milestones that they are still here & fighting their anxiety over twitching, (this really is what most everyone are fighting, hard to believe I know, but it's true. :) ) not that they have made it X number of months & not developed any sort of MND, or anything else for that matter. They also post "month milestones" to reassure others by saying..."Ummm look, I have been twitching 3 years and what everyone told me at the very beginning IS TRUE!...And I really wish I would have listened way back then, instead of wasting X number of months torturing myself with stress/fear/anxiety that I may be dying." For most people posting these things, it is more trying to reassure others.~*~Amy~*~
