I am new here... but I just thought I would give some insite!
I am having the same problems, I have twitches on my instep of foot, calf muscle, lower thigh, upper arm, and stomach. Just like you, I jumped online and guess what came up..? ALS!. I started freaken out, but noticed that ALS is a Rare disease. Only 30,000 people have it. I live in chicago and there is 60,000 people alone in just the city! So i started thinking... what makes me that less then once percent to get ALS. And plus i am only 22yo. But.. after that speach to myself, i went back to worring! lol. I went to my primary care doc and they did 5 blood test and that came back fine. They told me to go see a neuro. So I went to see a neuro and he did all kinds of "Exam room" tests..such as check my reflexes... strength... and told me that "there is no doubt in his mind, that i have anything but BFS. I have no symptoms to tell him otherwise". But i did not have a EMG. I have periods of twitches that go in full fire for about 2 weeks and then all of the sudden disappear for a few months and then they come back. I just changed jobs, i went from an on my feet for twelve hours job to a sit down job.. and the twiches in my legs went crazy!.lol. These twitches are So so so annoying! Hope this helped? lol
