Hi, I am new to this board; but, have been suffering from what my neurologist describes as "benign twitches" for seven months now. I have had a brain MRI and an EMG, all clear. I have also had a plethora of testing, including many blood tests---all clear, with the exception of my ALT level being slightly elevated. My current major symptoms include neurological fatigue (feeling tired/exhausted--as opposed to muscle weakness and muscle fatigue) and twitching. Other symptoms include joint pain and dry eye. My symptoms began about seven months ago, after a virus.1. Does neurological fatigue occur in BFS?2. Since twitching also occurs, in chronic fatigue syndrome, what are some major differences between BFS and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? 3. Are my symptoms common among BFS sufferers?4. Are there any blood marker tests that are red flags to BFS? 5. Has anyone with BFS had any success alleviating some of their symptoms with anti anxiety medication? I appreciate you all taking the time to read this. I'll be in touch. Thanks! -Michael

DD,Thank you so much for your post. It was a welcome relief in my search for what I actually have. I have suspected this illness for quite some time; but, wasn't sure until after the EMG was done and until after I read your post. Your post cleared a lot up for me. I also read "BFS in a nutshell" and was amazed at reading what I have been dealing with for the last seven months described in detail. Thank you! MichaelP.S. I noticed you have a Biblical quote at the end of your post. I am a Bible reader and a Christian. For myself, the Psalms, have been a life-saver at times. Thanks again, and keep in touch.
