Hi, everyone. I'm new to the board with posting; however, I've been reading the board for the past year or so. In June 2008, I began having twitching in my right calf and foot and then it spread to my left calf and foot. Of course, I freaked out. I went to see a neurologist. He examined me and determined it to be Benign fasciluation disorder. He told me to come back in 6 weeks if it was still twitching alot and bothering me. So I went back in July of last year and he did an EMG and nerve conduction study. The results were ok, he said nothing to worry about. I did see him in January of 2009, and then again in April of 2009, about every 4 months. Still nothing more than BFS he said so I'm not too concerned it's MS or anything else bad either because I am not weak or anything. I still workokut almost every day. However, I do have constant twitching in my calves and feet (all day long I can see them moving) and I get hotspot twitching everywhere but those don't last too long. Last week my left foot began to buzz and now I have had a constant buzzing in my left foot and lower leg nonstop since last week. Does this sound like BFS to you guys? Thanks. I have also have brain and spine MRI's come back clean.

With the spine and head mri coming back clean you don't have ms. With the normal EMG and the timeline you don't have MND. So ruling out those things I would have to say that it is BFS. A lot of people get the buzzzing. I do on and off, but it is not consistent. Clean EMG = NO MNDNo lesions on brain/spine = NO MS
