Weird Throat Sensations After Sickness

Hey Guys,I have been getting some weird throat sensations this week... I had them a bit back in the spring too, but it almost always occurs a week or two after I have been really sick. Anyway, it kind of feels like my throat stretches out and gets tight, almost like it is closing up, for a few seconds like 10-30 seconds, then lets go. I don't really have any problems swallowing that I can tell, but its really uncomfortable. Does anyone else get a similar sensation and if so is it related to BFS or should I be asking my neurologist about this? Thanks guys!Toodels,Megan

Hi Megan, I had this sensation also once, but since then not. I think it is nothing to worry reg. ***, as you know it wouldn´t come and go. I think it could be a kind of virus, that makes your problems, every time you are sick or were sick and your immun system is still not up. You can ask your neuro, but as it comes and goes, I think we will tell you it is nothing to worry about. Has your blood ever been checked for virus, etc.?Have a nice day. Race

Hey Race,Yeah, I imagine that because it is not consistent or debilitating it is probably no cause for concern, just uncomfortable and annoying. I have had my blood checked many times, for I am sure a whole variety of viruses, immune complexes, etc. The only thing that every came back abnormal is my ANA (anti-nuclear anti-body) which can be an indication of auto-immune disease and problems, that is IF I were to test positive for other immune complexes in conjunction with it. I have been tested by a rhumetologist (spelling?) for these other immune complexes and nothing else has come back abnormal, so it is apparently not a problem, although I still continue to have a positive ANA.Megan
