Weird Rash on Jawbone

variousparker, I really don't know if this relates at all...probably not- but for whatever its worth.....when this whole twitch/painful feet thing happened to me I had a weird rash twice on separate occasions within a few months- it was the same rash- not widespread at all- just small patch on jaw bone and little tiny on back and inner elbow- it was just like little tiny bumps; at first I thought they were just pimples or something- they took about 2 weeks to totally clear- the dr thought it was just a common fungal infection. I had been twitching a little before that and really never made any mental connection.....although I am a worrier and made the mistake of googleing about rashes and painful feet and was a nervous wreck over all kinds of diseases... But lots of bloodwork later it doesn't appear that the rash was anyhting. Who knows ??? Maybe IF this bfs is viral related it could manifest in a rash???? This is very speculative and probably stretching things- my rash could have been simply fungal-
What exactly did your rash look like? Was it bumpy?

Did they do a lyme test?

It might be worthwhile, particularly since you mentioned the achy joints.

I live in the area of the US near where Lyme was discovered, so that is always foremost on everyone's mind here. Not so much in other parts of the country.

Of course, there is hysteria associated with lyme as well, but a rash and joint aches are enough of a red flag in my book.

Otherwise, I have had rashes myself in the past, one quite mysterious one that my doctor was quite concerned about. He even had me take photographs, but none of my specialists were too bothered by it. Has your doctor done all the bloodwork to rule out auto-immune conditions?
That would be my next suggestion.

Otherwise, it could just be an allergic reaction, post-viral, or even cyclical.
