Waiting for MRI Results: Worried?

hello.

i had a terrible MRI on Wednesday. The machine broke after my shot halfway thru and I had to go to another machine (and a 2nd shot). The whole thing took over 3 hours. My 2nd neuro thinks MS is possible, so I'm a little nervous about this and not hearing back from him in 5 days now.

How long did everyone have to wait for their results?
Should I call him?

Also: If you had an MRI and want to tell me what the results are - I'm curious.

Of course you should call him. The MRI results are just after the exam. Every trained neuro can tell you if anything is wrong even during the exam.

so i called- and the nurse told me the neuro has not looked at them but the brain seemed fine and the spine showed a slight disc bulge on c-4 and 5 or something. doesn't sound like a big deal. however, she said that it states i need a few more scans (though i think that is b/c the machine broke, then i got them @ another wing). they musn't have incl. those scans (i hope) in the report she read. so, sounds like my MRI is probably clean.

Good for you! That means that you can forget MS. MS has a very characteristic changes in MRI and if there is no those changes you don't have MS.

The second good news is that you have this slight disc bulge. I know that sounds stupid but maybe that's a reason of your twitches.
