Visiting with Sis-in-law and Twitching

So I was visiting with my sis-in-law last night at a football game. We were discussing our eerily similar pain symptoms in our backs. I remarked that she ought be thankful she doesn't twitch...to which she tells me "Oh, I twitch too. My thighs, foot and my abs are especially bad! After I sneeze or laugh the ones in my abs go crazy! And I get these awful foot cramps to top it off!" Of course, she could care less. I certainly wasn't going to give her a hint of the fear my experience with twitches caused me, so I just agreed it was weird that we had the same problem. WHO KNEW? LOL!And BFS is rare? I think not!~Frances

Loved your post Frances..I was out to dinner with friends the other night....I was saying my arches of my feet were cramping and two people at the table said oh I hate when I get them it's worse when they twitch and cramp....I was like OMG.....u twitch and cramp? And u know what they didn't careless about them...so I believe there are lots of twitchers who don't care less about them...lol

That's so funny! My husband has lots of twitches, not to the extent I do...but he sure has WAY more muscle cramping than me. He's had them wake him (and me) up in the middle of the night. He's an understanding man and he makes me laugh. He tells me "Yeah, you twitch more than me. I fart more than you but I don't think I have colon cancer because of it!". That's the kind of smarty pants I have to live with! ~Frances

He makes a very good point. My mother-in-law gets headaches all the time but she never worries about brain tumors. The difference is, surprise, they aren't hypochondriacs and I am!

Exactly....as a fellow hypochondriac I can totally relate to that, every headache I get is a brain tumor, aneurysm, or even the baddy meningitis....aaaarrrggghh be still my stupid mind...... .....

LOL @ the farting! Sounds exactly like something my hubby would say!I don't believe BFS is rare either. I just struggle from time to time accepting BFS as my diagnosis because I too am a hypochondriac  lol I actually think that most people have BFS to some degree. My mom, sister, aunt and husband all have told me that they twitch often.Last week my sister called to ask if I have ever had the feeling of a baby kicking in my stomach. I told yep all of the time since I had my first baby. It never worried me because I figured that it was a glitch from having babies. The only worry it caused my sister was the thought she might be pretty far along in a pregnancy she knew nothing about! My mom is CNA at an assisted living facility. She is on her legs and feet all day long. At the end of the day she comes home to rest only to feel buzzing, twitching, and popping feelings up and down both legs. She assumes RLS.My husband is a steelworker and lifts heavy steel tubes for 12hrs a day 5 days a week. He said his shoulder twitches everyday after work. On Saturday I complained to him that my side twitched all day long that day. He replied by saying "you should have seen my leg yesterday"!Not one of them worry or have health anxiety :)
