Here's a link to a on of useful information... it reinforces things like, ALS doesn't cause pain, mucus in the throat is not a sign of ALS, body-wide twitching is indicative of BFS, not ALS, etc.
Glad I could help relieve some of that anxiety my friend ...
At first I was a little nervous but we played Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning, both of which I knew very well. Lars was REALLY friendly and Kirk was smiling the whole time because I was matching his chord structures in the "quite part" in the middle of Master of Puppets. James just faced the wall and sang REALLY aggressively. Every flat space in the studio had a beer can on it and the recording engineers were haveing a great time making obscene noises in the studio microphones. All in all it was a great experience but too bad it was under the circumstances that Cliff Burton had tragically passed away in a tour bus accident. I was a little older than you at the time and probably not ready for the lifestyle that touring with a metal band would require. However I did go on to do some recording with a Progressive Metal Band called Drastic Measures...
