Upper Lip Twitch - New Experience?

Hi I haven't been here in a while because I have been in "remission' for the last 6 months and it has been great, however, since yesterday the left side of my upper lip has been twitching non-stop. This is a new spot for me that has never twitched before when I suffered for a year before with twitching in tons of spots. Has anyone experienced the upper lip twitch? It appeared out of nowhere yesterday and has me freaking out. :(

I have had so much lip and chin twitching the past few months. It freaked me out as well, but it shouldn't. It's just another twitch. I actually stopped drinking caffeine and my facial twitches subsided quite a bit. If you google lip twitching, you'd find that like an eye twitch, it's one of the most benign there is, usually due to caffeine or stress.Try not to worry.

Thank you so much for replying to me Gloria123. I appreciate your reply so much and it made me feel alot better. I have sworn off google for anything twitching related because when all this started over a year ago all of the information I found convinced me I was for sure dying. I made a promise to not google anymore but people like you are such a huge help to me. Thank you again. I will trust what you wrote and try to not freak out about this and trust like my other twitches it will eventually subside. I will pray it does quickly. I wish this darn twitching didnt still scare me so much. Thanks again.

You're so welcome. I know how twitches can be so disconcerting, and because of their "weirdness", it almost seems like it just couldn't be benign. But, they are.Again, I just dealt with a few months of facial twitching, and after almost two years of this stupid twitching, started getting worried again for no reason. Sometimes, it's hard to help yourself when something is new and strange.Hang in there! It will subside and know you're okay. And, you're very smart not to google.

For me the upper lip twitch is very common (and the lower one as well). Now stop mentioning it as worrisome as you are starting to worry me :)If I can be a filter between Google and you, I can tell you that Googling lip twitches just brings up loads of pages of people who suffer from anxiety and many of them telling stories about how many healthy people they know with similar twitches. They seem to be especially coincident with the eyelid twitches, smart people probably know why, I don't.GlowGreen
