Hi all! Its been awhile since I have been on the board. As some of you may recall a few months back I had muscle twitching ALL over every day for 2 months, thousands of twitches, none stop. There was not a minute I was NOT twitching. Along w that and before the twitching I had awful stabbing pains in my joints, nerve pains, buzzing feeling in my legs and extreme joint cracking. Well, I wanted to say that these symptoms have gone down by about 85% now-including the twitching. I have no idea why. I do still feel there is something wrong with me due to the horizontal beaus lines on all my nails that developed after this. Also now I have been getting a pain about an inch below my left breast and I fear its my pancreas (my dad died of this cancer this summer and its hereditary)....so of course I worry that is the cause for all my symptoms (diabetes has these symptoms I read, and it would involve the same organ)At anyrate, just wanted to let you know the twitching has reduced a TON. Also, when I went to the ALS specialist a couple months back he said if the twitching gets a lot btr and later comes back worse--it is not ALS, ALS does not get "better". Thought I would share that with those of you in fear

Long time no see!I still get stabbing pains too. Dont know why; i take ibuprofen when it gets really bad. I've had ribcage pains / tightness aswell that lasted for weeks. I guess its nothing to worry about; just some underlying anxiety. You should focus on that instead of a horrible disease. My girlfriend bought me a very good book for kids. Do you know the Mr men and little miss series? She bought me Mr Jelly, and i think everyone here should read it!

Thanks so much for sharing your update. I too have yet to find an explanation for my symptoms and understand the problem of speculating about worst case scenarios. The fact that your twitching has reduced so significantly would give me great comfort. I hope I can say the same one day.

I still get the twitching but not NEARLY as bad...some days I get none. I think a few things may have helped--one is not obsessing over it, the other is taking at LEAST 500 mg of magnesium a day and fish oil--try it! The vitamins may take a month to work...
