Hey Ryan:
University is stressful. I didn't sleep much either due principally to late night drinking but I did manage to slip in enough studying to graduate. Sleep deprivation is definitely a co-conspirator in ones lack of health.
To aid my own somnambulist tendency I go for a nightly walk, no matter how late, before hitting the sack. Not eating 3hrs before bed is also very important, I think. I know that sleep apnea can be debilitating, but is it not manageable?
I don't watch the news anymore before bed, I find that can disturb my sleep and I also don't watch movies which might disturb me.
You are young, couldn't you have at least waited until your mid-life crisis to come down with some of these things.
You are also married, how wonderful. I also have a wonderful wife, we have been married 19 years. I have spoken to people mainly about how they should love themselves, but we must also not forget the people that inhabit our immediate surrounding and with whom we are intimate. As wonderful as we all are on BFS.com it is unlikely that we shall ever meet, and we are certainly not a replacement for those near and dear. I say that with the utmost affection for my cyber-friends on this forum. Who knows, perhaps we will have a conference one day, and we can all get to see in person, just how beautiful we all are. Apparently Jodi has the hair of Jaclyn Smith, the pert sexiness of Katie Couric and the voice of Rosie O'Donnell.
I am digressing.
We don't owe our family anything other than to be what we are. How wonderful when we can set the tone of the day for them with a cup of java or a kiss. Sometimes when we invest ourselves in their concerns we forget about our own worries, and when we do get back to ourselves it is with an entirely different perspective. Rejoicing in others can help us rejoice in ourselves. It takes us outside of our brooding and puts our attention on something very real; namely a living person.
You are young, have a loving wife, and an education. You are blessed three fold, at the very least.
Cheers,
Basso
