Understanding Internal Tremor

Can someone please explain what an internal tremor is. I get this funny feeling in my left arm ( like a weakness). Bit hard to explain, and my fingers in that hand start 'trembling' ( especially the fore finger) Stays for about an hour or so. Anxiety ( even mild) appears to exacerbate it (I think). Someone has suggested that this is possibly the starts of PD. Reading about PD on Dr Google, it talks about pinrolling tremors- what are those? I dont think I have them but even so, I cant help but be a little concerned. Would appreciate any feedback to aleviate the worry. thanksRodger

Rodger,A pin rolling tremor or pill rolling tremor is a resting tremor where the thumb and forefinger alternate back and forth, as if a pill was being rolled between the two fingers - its supposedly a telltale sign of PD. I watched a video of it on youtube, if your interested. Its very distinct.I suppose an internal tremor is the vibrating feeling you might have. But yet you may not see tremoring or it may be very subtle. Often I ask my wife to tell me if she can see me shaking, yet she can't, but I can feel it. I think there is a bit more to PD that this and infact I think the internal tremor is also frequently seen in BFS. I could be wrong on all of this. But that is what how I would define an internal tremor.Sorry that you are concerned about PD, I am sure you know, you can survive PD, but sorry that you are concerned about it.JoggingCub

The pill rolling tremor is as described and my understanding is that it is a common symptom with PD tremors, but not all people with PD's tremors present that way. I believe it's a very individual disease - some commonality in symptoms but no easy telltale sign for every person. For me the internal tremor is the feeling that my limbs want to move. Meaning - they seem to be still but on the inside they feel like they are shaking and at any moment I expect to see them start moving.Like you, I also have some external tremor. I get the "strange" feelings in my left arm and my forefinger trembles visibly (not in huge movements, but subtle shaking.) I also get shaking in my hands sometimes. I get the feeling of internal tremor throughout my body.
