Twitching Muscles - Am I Doomed?

Oh man. This sucks:

My arches always always always twitch. BUT, today I discovered that if I curl all my toes in/down (contracting the muscle), they STILL TWITCH CONSTANTLY (maybe even more!). I curl my toes down, and watch the wrinkled up side of my foot twitch and jiggle away WHILE THE MUSCLE IS CONTRACTED.

In only happens in the rest of my muscles (all over my body) when relaxed.

Am I doomed? I know the reassuring part about BFS is supposed to be that the twitching goes away when the muscle contracts. What the heck is this? :crying:

Does this happen to any of you foot twitchers out there?

Help!

Shannon,

You are not doomed. This happened to me once and then I repeated it later and my muscles were not doing it. Also this notion of contraction fascics has only recently appeared on the board...I am not certain it is an indication of als or anything bad. If you are not dragging your foot, if you can walk on your heels, toes, and toe to toe then you have no weakness which means you ahve nothing all together serious.

ps - how long twtiching?

OK. Thank you.

Now I'm scared it won't stop, though!
I can do the heel/toe-heel-heel-toe-toe dance fine (and I work 12.5 hour shifts on my feet with no more fatigue than anyone else).
But I realy don't think it's gonna stop!!

P.S. Twitching 5 months on the 26th at 3 p.m. :(

my feet twitch, espeically on the inside, all the time. It is usually better with movement but not always...I still have twitching with muscle tightness but usually less.

MIne twitch when I curl my toes and point my toes. Mine increases when I point my toes--I think that is contracting the muscle, too--not relaxing it. I think we are all fine. :D)
