Twitching Issues Drive Me Crazy

ok. I am about to commit myself.. This BLEEP is driving me insane. I have always had pulse twitching. Meaning heart beat twitching. It pretty much went away and I moved on with my life. Recently in the last month I have had a rippling twitch in my left foot. It will start right below my big toe and continue down that muscle to the bottom of the foot then go to the top of my foot. This rippling happens 4-5 times a day and will last for 15 mins. It a very rhythmic predictable pattern. I also have cramping. This is a symptom I have never had before. I went back to the Neuro and he told me it is just Fibromylgia. I don't have pain so why is this guy diagnosing me with the this disorder without the key symptom. Kind of like someone diagnosing you with ALS if you don't have weakness. He did an EMG last week of my left foot and said it was good. I really don't know if I should trust his opinion. He does some quackish things like jab a needle all over my body and say hear that its Fibro. Hear this , QUACK QUACK.

I have rippling movements of the feet and other body parts. One doctor called it myokymia, but didn't seem concerned about it. I had already had an MRI,EEG and EMG. He is a fibromyalgia expert and did not even suggest it to me. Where I live, it is very difficult to get a fibromyalgia diagnosis. I have been told there is very strict criteria (the tender points) that I do not meet. So, in short, I agree with you. It is time for another opinion. I am not a doctor, but I have never heard of Fibromyalgia being diagnosed via EMG.

He didn't diagnose Fibromyalgia via EMG but from the scar tissue in my foot and jaw line. My dad was diagnosed with BFS and that's what led me here. Thank God for this site. I would go nuts. What did your doctor say about the rippling?

I got that rippling on the bottom of my left foot, it started right before my second EMG and I showed it to the neauro, he smiled at me....My EMG was clean so I guess it's good to get a smile instead of a concerned look. It's just another aggrovating symptom most of us have to deal with, Try to ignore it and it may go away(Wish this would work on my inlaws). Good luck and God BlessRandyBy the way mine still comes and goes.

I just don't believe the Fibromyalgia junk. Thanks for the reassurance. @ Randy- Who is your Neuro? I work in Crossville and my neuro is now out of my insurance network. My grandmothers people are from Blount County, TN and I have some cousins that still live there.

I think I've had every foot twitch, buzz or ripple you can think of at one time or another. They come and they go. What is that you are concerned about, other than it being another annoying symptom?
