Twitching in Sleep - Experiences?

Anyone know or been told that they twitch in their sleep? Not jerks, but regular twitches. I woke up last night to some pretty intense twitch sessions going off in my back and arm - way more intense than my normal daytime twitches! Anyone else?

I have done this before. Mine are strongest in my thighs while sleeping. I know there are several more on the boards who will chime in about this. But it is not unusual to twitch while sleeping or to wake up due to the twitching. Frances

hi there, i have been woken by really big thumb twitches, back twitches and shoulder twitches...its not unusual.. most of the time its if i roll over and stretch i set off a bunch of twitches.... :D)

i twitch and vibrate all night long in my sleep. no doubt about it. I do not sleep very well. and when i do, if I awake from a dream, I am like a piece of bacon in a frying pan. all muscles going. This is so strange to me but I have heard it from others.

I'm the same way. I wake up twitching like a piece of bacon. A normal morning for me it to wake up to the popcorn feeling in my legs and "machine gun" twitching going off in my back and arms. -Matt

My wife confirmed to my neuro that i twitch and ripple all night long , she also says i snore at the same time, i said my body is so good at multitasking

Thanks everyone! I've been wondering if this all has to with sleep apnea and the body not getting enough oxygen at night. Definitely something I'm planning on looking into in the near future!
