Twitching in Right Foot Sole

for the last few days i am experiencing a new twitch. it is on the sole of my right foot (the muscle on the outside under the pinky toe) and it sometimes moves my pinky toe a little bit. what scares me is the frequency of the twitch- it goes one time- pop-, then stops for about 10-30 seconds (sometimes up to one minute or so) then goes again (one pop). it persists sometimes for several hours... i don´t know why it frightens me that much but it does! does anyone else have slow twitches like that???

I have so many twitches and sensations all over that I cannot even begin to analyze the pace, feel, etc. They come in so many different varieties. Maybe this makes it easier because I do not know which one to worry about so I just worry about the phenomenon as a whole. By the way, I have had my pinkie move from a toe/foot twitch before and I feel twitches in my feet everyday. I also think I have stopped looking at my twitches because I do learn anything of value from doing it. I understand your concern but do not think it is indicative of anything otherwise the neuros I've seen would have been more interested in me describing my twitches and in looking at them. They seem only interested in the test results, muscle function/strength, reflexes, and how the symptoms were impacting my quality of life.

Hi Sylvia, you realy have no reason to freak out about that slow-rythm-twitch....i know them well. At the beginning i suffer from that for month. Its just a twitch. take a deep breath ;) florian

thank you all for answering!the twitch is still going on and i am still scared by it. random twitching in general has decreased a lot during the last weeks ( just some short flare ups..), only 2-3 times an hour at the moment. i should be happy about that i guess, but i cannot relax because of that weird foot twitch...sorry for complaining...
