Twitching in Lower Lip: Searching for Answers

Hi allI just did a search using the word 'lip' and drew a blank, although maybe I used the search device incorrectly. Having had fascicualtion for 15 month and having thought that I had twitched everywhere possible, I developed a new twitch this week, being on one side of my lower lip. I innocently thought that this was just another manifestation of a benign process and that I would be one of a whole throng of lip twitchers. Hence the search of this site the morning. Does the fact that I drew a blank mean I am the only lip twitcher out there and that this is a bad sign? Any lip twitchers, please could you declare yourselves?!?!Regards and thanksSimon

Oh lord, Simon, my lips twitch at least once a week.I think this was the first place I ever remember twitching when this all began this past summer. Most of the time it will happen on my left upper lip where it will actually curl my lip like Elvis! It happens when I am especially stressed out, I've noticed.

I got a repetitive twitching of one corner of the mouth long time ago. Never had that again since ...The bottom eyelid also ... and never had that again since. Both happened during work  .. hopefully i was not talking to my boss during this time

Dear lip twitching colleagues... I see that I am in very esteemed cmopany... such a high calibre of people with the same symptom! Thanks for the reassurance.RegardsSimon

I can't believe you posted this today, Simon! I started having the EXACT problem with my twitching lip this morning and came here to post my problem. It went away for a couple hours, came back, went away and now has been with me for several hours. I guess any place is subject to twitching, but the lip is hard to ignore. I hope our twitching is gone when we wake up tomorrow. BTW I'm a 6 + year twitcher and still get scared as do most of us here.Take care,Diane

Hi Simon,I'm on board with nine9three . . . count me in with the lips (and scalp, and tongue, and both upper and lower lids, etc., etc.)sometimes the lip twitching is so severe I've grabbed a mirror to see if I look like I'm attempting some kind of a lame Elvis immitation! :)

Mine comes and goes but i'd say its more like a mild spasm Simon bottom lip predominantly. When its happening you can watch it in the mirror, i think were are like peas in a pod

if I stretch my mouth, I get twitches all over my lips and cheeks. I dont really twitch on my face, but just like Krackersones..again (so much in common!) I can trigger them from yawning.
