Twitching in Left Hand Palm

Hi everyone. A few months ago, I had a twitch on the left side of my palm, down near the wrist that was super visible and went on daily for about two weeks. It stopped completely about two months ago. Sometimes I may see a slight twitch, but definitely nothing like what I was experiencing. Now, on the other hand, my pinky started jerking around on it's own. It's almost always when my hand is resting and it randomly jerks from side to side. It never lasts more than a few seconds, but it is constantly happening. I get it mostly at night, but I don't know if that's because I'm paying more attention to it, or because it really occurs more at night. I know this is not related to ALS (I've gotten past that fear), but upon doing the big no-no (googling!) I found that Michael J. Fox's first symptoms of Parkinson's was pinky movement. I'm 26 years old so I know this would be extremely rare, but I'm still worried anyway. Does anyone else experience this? I know it could be just another symptom of BFS, but when an entire finger is moving, it's kind of hard to dismiss.

I have one moving my thumb and I have one at the same hand moving my pinky. Every time I relyax my hand, most favourite times I have this happen is at my computer and at nighttime while falling asleep. As far as I've been reading here, the pinky and thumb moving ones are the most common hand twitches here. Which makes them absolutely normal for BFS but still very VERY annoying....

My right pinky is where EVERYTHING started for me. It jerked back and forth with STRONG visible contractions seen in the hand. This lasted about 3 months, while the twitching started everywhere. There's a benign condition for the pinky finger jerk, that's not classified under BFS. I found it on this forum when I had the phobia a year ago. Search Pinky contraction or twitch you may be able to find it here.

I've had noticeable finger, pinky, thumb twitches on and off for approx 2 years now. They are sporadic with no real pattern. My left hand is affected more than the right, but both have experienced the pleasure.Correct me if I'm wrong, but Parkinsons is more a constant tremor association than just some random pinky twitches. I'm not Dr, so take it for what it's worth.Rest assured that others have your same symptom on this boards, some more and some less. I know the symptom can be very stressful and hard to put out of your mind. Like you said, your finger is moving involuntarily!

My pinky was where I first noticed problems, too. If I try to hold it in a certain position, it will just tap tap tap away. When I was doing my vision test to rule out MS, when I was holding the little thing over my eye, I could NOT keep my pinky still! Sometimes, my ring finger will do the same. Is yours positional?
