Twitching in Foot: ALS Worries?

my no. 1 hotspot, actually almost the only one in the sole and the instep of my left foot twitches for two years now. no rest. this scares me a little bit as the beast called als usually starts very focal. anyone has similar experience?

thanks double d......i was not that scared of als anymore before i came here after quite a while and read scary stories in this forum.....thanks for reassuring me;-)

Yeah sometimes people post things without proper knowledge. The internet is not a reliable or trusting source. Anybody can say anything. Trust your doctors and the vets here. I got to a point that anytime somebody had a post where the subject said "Scary info" or "I was doing fine until this" or someting like that, I would not read it. It just sent me back to that place of doubt that took me forever to leave. I just stuck to the posts that looked reassuring. DD

Laurent, the inside of my left foot (my only hot spot) also has really never stopped twitching, for one week shy of a year now. F@@@ it. I am starting training to race in a half-marathon this summer. :D)

if you want to talk about focal points....that would be my calves. 24/7 for the last 14 months. So if foci is the litmus test for ALS then I am buggered!!!see yaRodger

thanks guys. it is very much possible that my foot twitches already for a decade and i just did not notice before being confronted with the ALS-anxiety.a good friend of mine recently showed me his calves. they fooly twitch all the time, 24/7, since he can think of. he doesn't care at all. so maybe this stuff is more normal than we think.
