Twitching Hands and Painful Muscles

HelloI have been taking a break from this forum for a little bit. I felt like I was getting better by just dealing with the twitching 24/7 in my feet. Now I am back b/c, although I do get random hot spots other than my feet (shoulder, knee, elbow, eye, calves, thighs), I am nervous b/c my hands have been twitching and they hurt a bit...like I worked them out (which I havent). They twitch in fatty part near thumb and other side near pinky. I was curious if anyone else twitches like me?? It started about 18 months ago in my feet and not for one day has it stopped (inside and inner ankle). i know many have twithcing, but mine have not stopped which makes me nervous and now with the hands twitching and the pain I am getting I am getting real nervous! Wondering if you think I should get another EMG? I mean what is wrong with my body?? This isn't normal and it really is bothering me!

If you had an EMG after the twitching had started, then it would have picked up the nerve damage if it were ALS.ALS goes like this:Step 1: Nerve damageStep 2: Muscle damage and weaknessStep 3: Twitching as muscle diesThis is the only progression it can take, because Step 1 causes Step 2 and Step 2 causes Step 3.An EMG detects Step 1. If you had Step 3, and were tested for Step 1 and it came up negative, then you don't have ALS.

chez, relax please. although i get big relief in the other body parts (still twitch now and then, here and there) my soles of feet also twitch 27/7 for 20 months now. i don't always feel them but i can see the movements if I take a closer look.by now i have just a push of another new autoimmune desease: uveitis, terrible pain in my eyes, the right one has lost its vision.
