Twitching for 6 Years: Finger Movement

Hello all,I have been twitching for almost 6 years now. Like a lot of you, I was tested years ago, turned out fine. But also like a lot of you, I fall back into the nervous trap everytime a new twitch arrives (or returns). This time my pointer finger actually is moving every now and then. This has happened before for a day or so, but I was always able to blame it on some kind of overuse. What has me freaked out this time is that it has been happening on both hands.Any and all responces would be extremely appreciated (the more the better!!!). I don't want to fall back into the three year depression I was in worrying about ALS, PD, and MS.Thanks and God Bless!

I get this too. I did not get this symptom until like 4 years into this, so it was a new one for me. I have been having alot of jerking of my arms and legs too. The symptoms are ever changing for me, always something new happening.Amy

If I lay my left hand on a flat surface, then gently lift my index finger...it goes mad. It goes from side to side, up and down etc, non stop. If I put more strength into it, it seems fine...So, on that basis, what you have, I have more of and if you have nothing to worry about, then I got even less. Does that make sense?

My finger twitches happen when I just hang my arm. My pointer finger will move about a half inch, every 30 seconds or so. It's been going on for three days. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks and God Bless!

I've been experiencing this for about a week now. I had the same thing in January and it eventually went away. It is definitely scary, but very common (as I learned from many people here when I freaked out about it in January). Right now it's happening to me literally hundreds of times a day (between the thumb and pointer finger). It will go away and yours will too!!

My co-worker has this. When I told him about my BFS he showed me his finger. When he holds his hand level his little finger goes around in circles.I think he had an MRI done and/or went to a neurologist. He was told that this was caused by a pinched nerve or calcium build up on the bones in the neck.BTW his has never stopped. Sorry. But everyone is different. It seems if you are younger and still growing that you are more likely to have the body heal itself.Hope this helps.-43RichyThe43rd

have had it on both hands ALOT over the years. Moving because of twitching and "tremor" like movements also. Best Wishes, Denise
