Bk. ONCE I have seen my tongue "twitch" at the tip...Not undulate, no bag of worms in the bulk but actual twitch in the "TIP" of the tongue. It hasn't happened again. The other sensations have been periphial on the tongue such as tingling. What you have to understand here BK and what others have said a dozen times that your not grasping IS...IT CAN TWITCH AND WILL TWITCH IF ITS A MUSCLE- by the time you have true fasciculations in your tongue your in bad shape- I've posted numerous CCF and MAYO posts regarding that- the one post you keep holding onto about the "tongue being more omnious was from 1999". Yes John Hopkins is a good university and your doc may have had no insight on why the tongue twitched but he CERTAINLY didnt DIAGNOSE you with ALS. I am over the worry of the tongue- to many neuro's and als specs have said "it doesnt matter"..its BFS...and you'd be in bad shape with tongue twitches.Soooo my advice to you would be seek another neuro for another opinion or take rest in what we've ALLtold you- If you dont believe your neuro you wont believe us. Thats the realization I've come to. I believe a few men on here that have been cleared by the MAYO showed the docs their tongue twitches and they said "SO WHAT" no biggy. Why do you keep harping on it. I know its the most unnerving part of the body to twitch and you may experience a few more than perhaps the regular bfs'er but your no more special than me or anyone else. You were diagnosed with BFS? Quit trying to get another diagnosis.Keep reading the posts from people whom are tongue twitchers that have been for years and realize your just one of them.ALL OVERRRRRRRRR ANXIETY sites it says "THE TONGUE CAN TWITCH TOO" the neuro you spoke with even said bfs can and will effect the tongue. I dont know what more your looking for. I cant keep beating a dead horse here.Lovely
