Twitching Calfs: Nonstop for 6 Weeks

Hi allFor over 6 weeks now i have been twithing non stop in my calfs (as most of you know) however the past 2 days they have been really really really bad.If i put my hand on my right calf i can constanly feel it thumping away and i mean all the time, at the rate of 1 per second. When i look at it i can see it thumping away too, its in exactly the same place on the calf, its constant and not moving from this place. I usually get this all over the calf but now its thumping away in the same place and its really scaring me.Does anyone else get this in there calfs? i dont mean constant twitching i mean costant thumps in EXACTLY the same place in the calf??

I don't know how many posts you've read from the archives on this board, but I've read a lot. From that knowledge, your issue of twitching in one spot constantly has been reported by many others and if anything was noted as something pointing to a benign condition rather than the opposite. I don't think information on the nature of the twitches you get provides any real clues. It is more "the company they keep" like weakness and EMG signs. This has been said by many neuromuscular specialists as reported by board members including myself. I don't think that means you shouldn't seek reassurance that others experience what you are experiencing as I do that myself and it does help but it may help you not freak out whenever you notice something different in the way you twitch.Krackersones

i have all over twitches-- plus one that is reoccuring in my left calve , in the exact same spot all the time- it was my first twitch and i had it for a few months before my second twitch began and then my all over twitches.... from my understanding, you can have diffuse twitches or one in a certain spot and it doesnt matter in terms of diagnosis.......as Krackersones mentioned.. ( we read the same stuff )....i have seen a few people who have had constant hotspots on this board who have been given the clean bill of health from their docs...

If you saw my calves you'd be freaked totally. Yes, it get that and it's been going on for 3.5 years now. Means nothing unless you have wasting or weakness.
