For the last seven weeks I've had this twitch just below the outside of my left elbow that for the most part I can only feel if I put my hand on it. For about the first three weeks it was pretty rapid fasciculations that would go almost constantly and gradually it slowed down. Now I would say (except for a flair up a few nights in a row last week where I could feel them without touching the area) they are only present about 3 out of 10 times I check. What has me worried is that if I tense the muscle or exercise (push ups, tricep extensions) it goes crazy for about 15 to 25 seconds. At this point it seems (almost) to only be present as a reaction to exercise. Also the fasciculations seem milder. A month ago after doing pushups I could clearly see it in the mirror going crazy, now I may see 2 or 3 twitches but I feel a lot more smaller ones and to see them I have to rotate my arm and look at the muscle and they're barely visible. I should also say that so far the muscle is the same size as the one on the other arm and through strength tests I've been doing I've added reps over the time, so there doesn't seem to be atrophy or weakness. I should also say that I've had random twitches all over my body for about five years that I never thought much of and which greatly increased do to the stress googling for my elbow. Is this normal for a hotspot? Does the intensity decrease like that? Can anyone else trigger hotspots by exerting the muscle?
