Twitching at 38: Correlation?

Hey Guys - My twitching started at 38 years old. It seems a lot of posters here started in their late thirties. Not sure if there's a correlation or not?

Mine started at 55, the average age for diagnosis of ***. Another reason I was so freaked out besides having had a co-worker die of the dreaded disease a few years previously,

Sometime in my early 30's. I'm not sure exactly when though, because it all started so gradually. I'll say around 31.I was having weird muscle cramps and sleep starts and eyelid twitching way back in my early 20's though.

This is merely anecdotal but I remember arguing with one of the neurologists I saw (one that did his fellowship in neuroimmunology) as to how he could be so certain my nerve issues were autoimmune related. He barked at me that I was in my thirties and that is when this type of stuff normally happens. I also had other evidence but thought I'd mention that he thought my age of onset was relevant too.

Started when 36 and lasted maybe a month, went away for 6 months now back at 37 and going on 4 months straight now.

Hi. My first post. So hello to everybody.I can remember twitching when I was about 10 years old. Maybe even earlier. Im 34 years old now. I remember telling my mum that it felt like my 'blood was boiling' I never thought to look at the time so didnt notice the twitchings so it was just a sensation. I have lived with it for years and now know it is definately made worse when I'm anxious or If I panic. I can be quite an anxious person at times. Only in the last 2 years have I noticed it more in my calves. and can see it more so.Dan

40.First twitch in May 1992 (buttock only ... 1H approximatively then stop).Second one in July 1992 (in fact it was a "worm under skin" like muscle movement)Flare up in September 1992 "all over"....and added trembling left side (hand and leg) somewhere in November.

Healthy 100% up to 44 y.o. Since them neck pain, little joints pain (fingers mostly) and back pain. I saw (accidentally) my twitching in both calves in April 2008 (46 y.o). Since January 2009 they spreaded out to all my body, in a random way. No changes since then.

Zero noticable twitching for 56 years, and then it struck over a period of about one week...calves twitching 24/7 for about 9 months now... so strange...

A point of interest: Not including the individual that said they started at 10 yrs old, the average age of the remaining posters is 36.4 yrs old.

my father said i had muscle twitching as a child. but he is the only one who remembers and he can´t recall how old i was when he saw the twitches...

10 Years old I noticed symptoms14 years old they became rapid.3X younger then all of you, yet I have intense 24/7 twitching

i don't think that age of onset has a meaning. the answers are very diverse.
