Twitching and B. Als: Is it Possible?

What i'd like to know is wether someone with B. Als would twitch all over. I have of course read about the slurring and the difficulty swallowing liquids. Yet i have not read anything about the twitching pattern of B. Als.

I guess after a longer time has passed and the limbs are also affected one with B.-Als could also twitch in legs/arms. But could the twitching be the presenting symptom of B.-Als?

Alex – I have read posts by Cleveland clinic neurologists that say twitching occurs only in the muscles affected by the disease. In other words, if you had limb onset, it could cause twitching in the limb(s) that were affected, but would not cause twitching in your face and trunk, for example. Bulbar onset could cause limb twitching after it spreads, but by that time your bulbar symptoms would be quite severe.

Exactly.

This is my understanding also.

So why is my tongue twitching for 3 Months now. And has weird sensations. My face twitching has increased also and i am also getting a stiff face and a stiff neck now and then????

My legs that started twitching one year ago still twitch no weakness except for some fatigue now and then (maybe due to testing), that is definetly a good sign, so i am pretty sure no ALS. But why.........

the spreading i ask myself.
