Twitching All Over Body

Hi everyone. I have been reading this board for several days and it has some relief. This started a week ago with my right thigh twitching. I could see it. Within days, it has gone to both legs all over. I get a few in my upper body. Before this happened, I was having back pain. I am prone to back problems. 9 years ago I had CD 5 come out of place and it has been a problem ever since. I am having lower back pain from carrying my 12 month old. I am 37 years old with 4 kids. I also have known anxiety issues. This isn't my first go round with worrying about my health. The last year has been so incredibly stressful for me. My husband has been out of work for over a year, just found out last week my children may have to re zone, the list goes on. The week before I started twitching I was having many other anxiety symptoms, even waking at night. So all of that sounds like it could be BFS, but here are the things that worry me. 1. I can't see all my twitches. I see many, but there are some I feel that I can't see. 2. I have experienced a pain type feeling in my right leg (where it started) in the last few days. This REALLY FREAKS me out! I haven't noticed any real weakness, but I feel fatigued.I am seriously going nuts over this. I swear I have two sides of my brain talking to me...."you are fine, think of the stress you are under!", and then the other side that has me worried. other points,i have a history of thyroid problemsabout a year ago I went through a few weeks of my eye lid twitching a lot of the day. Thanks so much for any insight. I really do appreciate it!

Hi and welcome. Well you absolutely sound like another BFS case in the making to me and I'm others will chime in and agree. It could be related to your thyroid issue you mentioned or it could very well be related to your stress level, neither would be un-heard of in the land of BFSers :D) Do your best to keep your thoughts under control and focused on positive things as much as possible and please stay off of google, its deadly, trust me  Just hang out her with us, ask any questions you may have here and I and everyone else will do whatever we can to make sure you get your answers.(please dont google, cant stress that enough) :D) Take care, and relax, I guarantee you are fine :D) Robynn :D)

Although you may not be in a good place right now you will get a lot of support from this site.If you read some of the older posts i'm sure you will see many other people with the same kind of issues as yourself and it will be of great help to you. There is no magic wand for this and it is a bit of a rollercoaster ride but there are certain people who post regularly on here and are in my view a God send.Dont know where i would be without the people on here.

So all of that sounds like it could be BFS, but here are the things that worry me. 1. I can't see all my twitches. I see many, but there are some I feel that I can't see. - That is normal. I can see some of my twitches, but not all of them. This is typical.2. I have experienced a pain type feeling in my right leg (where it started) in the last few days. This REALLY FREAKS me out! - Pain is a symptom of BFS, and IMO it has more to do with being hypersensitive than anything else. During periods when I have very high anxiety and especially when I am worrying about a new hotspot, etc. I can seem to "will" pain in an area of my body. Within the past 5 years of BFS I have noticed localized pain in probably all 4 limbs (at least 3 by my memory). This pain can be in the "pins and needles" category or the "muscle pain" category. Oh, and my symptoms first started with the eyelid during a high stress time in my life.

Agree with everything JohnnyJet says ( great name)- Classical/copy book BFS in my opinion.. CHILLl a little Macy-all good- no nasties here buddy. Anxiety WILL NOT be helping-just makes it worse.cheersRodger :D)
