Twitching After Taking Vit D Supplements

Hi. I have been lurking this site since October (when I started twitching) and scanned through threads looking for something similar before posting a new one. Anyway, like everyone here, I started widespread twitching after googling A/$. Went to my GP and everything was normal except for my Vit D. Funny thing is, my twitching ramped up after taking the Vit D supplements.Went to a neuro also who did the strength tests and said it's BFS. 2 months have passed, and I can say that the frequency of the fascics has decreased. Now my huge dilemma is the fascics present themselves as I move. Like, when I step on the car accelerator, my right knee, or right calf or right foot pops 2-3x. Or when I roll in bed, the twitching appears on the side that I am lying on (shoulder, arm, thigh, ankle etc). Also, I feel I get twitches when I put weight on a body part, like leaning on an elbow. I went back to my neuro and told him my concern but he again told me twitches/fascics aren't clinical symptoms of any disease. He told me that if I was his daughter, he would not be slightly worried. I know I'm supposed to believe him but reading other BFS-ers experiences, and I don't see anyone whose symptoms present the same way as mine are :

Hi...I've been twitching like crazy for about six months now. I started a D-2 supplement about two months ago. I haven't noticed any real changes in my fasciculations since then. As for your current huge dilemma, you're not alone. I have the exact same thing going on. especially the thing that you describe with your calfs and knees while driving your car!!! Each and every new development with this ailment is enough to make one crazy! BFS is the gift that just keeps on giving. I think that anxiety and head trips are the toughest part of this.Relax, my friend. You're o.k. You have BFSJohn

I wouldn't attribute it to the Vit D supplements. When I started BFS my Vit D level was 11 (now 39 after a year of 5000IU/day). I think it's had a positive effect as my twitches are less frequent. The twitching after tensing a muscle is pretty common and it happens to me frequently (also laying or putting pressure on a muscle may make it easier to actually feel a twitch you may not have noticed if you weren't).

Thank you for replying. It's a little sad that I find comfort knowing other people suffer from the same symptoms like I do. With that being said, I'm putting down my other twitch occurrences in case someone else is getting worried that they experience the same.*while holding my phone and texting, the side of my hand below my pinky "vibrates" for a split second.*when my forearm is flexed, like when reading a book, there is a small part either below or above the fold pulsates.

That is exactly what I experience. Lying in bed if I roll onto one side it triggers one group of muscles to twitch. If I roll to the other side, another group of muscles twitch. If I'm typing at my computer and resting my forearms on the corner of the desk, my elbows, hands, and forearms will twitch. Thats how BFS is for me and I'm sure it is very common on here.
