Twitching After Flu Shot

I had my flu shot OCt 1 or so, and my twitching started soon after. I am a 24/7 arch of the feet twitcher and then random ones elsewhere on and off. I am still twitching but luckily feel great otherwise!

If you do a search of vaccinations or Flu shots you will get more specific answers to your question.

Unfortunately I don't think there is one answer to your question. It probably varies with the shot and the individual. In general, though, my flare ups are of a much shorter duration than the original one, which went on for about a year. I think the fact that my anxiety is much less is key in having things calm down more quickly, usually just a few weeks. The more worried, the more twitches. There definitely is a correlation.

Remember, this too shall pass.

I have chosen not to get Flu shots anymore. I realize I may feel badly about that choice if I come down with a bad flu, but for now I feel I don't want to give my immune system anything more to try to figure out.
Take care.

Last year and this year, my symptoms started up about 3 weeks after my flu vaccinations. However, my doctors did not initally think that caused the problem of my symptoms (thought it was my colestral medicine ) and they also do not recognize BFS as a disease either. I am alone in the world in that thought I guess. I also had the same symptoms after my Lyme's disease vaccinations years ago. My symptoms lasted about 1 week after each Lyme vaccinations. However with my flu vaccination it was different. Last year it was about 8 months before my symptoms went away. This year I had my flu shot Oct 3 and my symptoms are still going strong. Also, no more flu shots or other vaccinations for me. Look at my other posts on this site to get more details on my vaccinations and what I have been going through. One thing I did learn was how much the neurologist and other GP doctor just have to take their best guess on what they believe you have pending test such as MRI's and EMGs, and etc. I just don't go blindly in accepting their diagnosis any more. I hope this helps!
