Twitching, Aching Feet and Calves

I've been having twitching in both calves and feet for a few weeks (at least that's how long I've noticed it). Lately, I've been feeling a lot of aching in my feet and calves, but the pain is very random and seems to come and go quite a bit. Mostly, the pain is in the arches and on the top of the feet. Also, the pain in the calves is mostly down at the bottom, just above the ankle. I have been working out more (mostly in attempt to reassure myself I am not losing strength), but I never got pain like this when working out before. I often have a wierd achey feeling that goes down mostly my left leg. I feel it most in my calf and arch of the foot. Sometimes I feel it worse, epecially when sitting. I have yet to confirm, but have suspicions it may be nerve related.Lastly, on the left foot, when I flex up my big toe, it brings on the pain on the top of my foot more. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this?

I have very similar pain. I don't ever feel that the arches of my feet ache but I do get twitches there. Each day is different where the pain is but definitely in calves and top of feet and even my thighs ache. I have had a lumbar MRI that shows bulging discs and degenerative disc disease, not that I doubt the findings but I feel alot of my issues are BFS related because after 2 epidurals and PT the pain and twitching is still there.

First, thanks for your reply. Do you think that maybe the BFS may be from the bulging discs? I know BFS is "benign," hence the name. But nevertheless, BFS is still a neurological issue, stemming from some cause. Perhaps the compression on the nerve is causing an abnormal nerve communication to your legs, ultimately causing the twitching. I am no doc, but it just seems logical to some extent. Did your neuro ever suggest that may be the cause?

I have had pain in my feet and calves before as you described. It comes and goes like many of my symptoms. It may be related to BFS and it may not.
