Twitching Above Right Elbow

I have had a constant twitch in my right arm just above the elbow for the past 2 1/2 months. About the same time my eye twitched for a few days but went away. I went to my Dr. a few weeks ago and she isn't concerned about it but said I could have the EMG test if it would calm my nerves. I have had more than my fair share of twitching over the past number of years and had a similar episode in my right calf about 12 years ago that last more than a month. She said that coupled with the strength tests she did does not cause her concern. I just cant' come up with any reason to believe I have any muscle loss or weakness (doing all the ridiculous tests :D) ). I just wonder if it is worth it to go have the test or should I trust her opinion that it is benign and live with it. She said if I could live with it then all the better. Obvioulsy I am scared.

I've had a twitch in my forearm (underside) for the past month. It is non-stop 24/7. I went to the neuro today and he didn't find any reason to be concerned. He is going to do an EMG and bloodwork though just to be thorough. I'm a little relieved, yet I won't be relieved until I have the EMG. I am also having swallowing issues. He isn't concerned about that either. I am going to have a swallow study done though also just for my own piece of mind. So, in other words, it's all in what makes you comfortable. I am HIGHLY anxious, so until I have an answer, I am not satisfied. I honestly believe in your case with no other symptoms, it is just benign.

Thnaks for the reply. I feel I need to trust my Dr and believe that is benign, since I have had this issue before. She was only willing to do the test just to ease my fears. She said it is totally up to me. Good-luck with your EMG - let me know how it turns out. Best wishes and prayers.
