Twitch/Spasm on Left Hand

Hello there. I have joined this forum after developing a twitch/spasm on my left palm pinkie side where it meets the wrist and after getting myself in an absolute state about it. I had an involuntary finger movement about 4 years ago which was checked out and was fine and then stopped. this one started about a week or so ago and I thought little of it at first but then it got annoying so I started snooping on old faithful google and bang I have something awful. since then I have had to take some valium that was lurking at the back of my drawers from a bout of severe anxiety after a traumatic incident and it helped a bit but last night I woke in the night having an anxiety attack and couldn't feel my arms properly so then I thought this is it the weakness is starting and Im now racking my brain thinking about all the times ive bumped into things and dropped things. Awful. I have also started twitching in other locations just briefly. im exhausted and in a permanent state of anxiety. can anyone sympathise or talk me down?Great introduction eh! what a fantastic site though well done xSharon

HI SharonI would say it is quite common for the people with anxiety history to have that detachement feeling on the edge of sleep and awakening (motor parts of brain wake up a bit late compared to other parts, it has nothing with weakness and was known forever as hypnic hallucinations). Previous traumatic accident and anxiety history usually mean that twitching are benign and relate to that part of your personal and medical history.

Had all that anxiety , panic attacks , walking the bedrooms at night .It's dreadful stuff . Get checked out and it will all stop ,beleive me .
