For those of you that are looking for easily absorbable magnesium at a bargain price, has magnesium citrate (one of the top biologically absorbable magnesiums) bulk, in the bag. I mix up about a teaspoon a day of the very fine powder in yogurt and other smooth foods. It dissolves quickly, but is slightly gritty if you don't give it time. While magnesium citrate is one of the most absorbable forms, it is only about 16 percent elemental Mg, so you end up taking about 2 grams a day to get 400 milligrams of elemental magnesium. The extra citrate is also usually helpful as well.
Magnesium oxide is the cheapest Mg per weight, but is nearly non-absorbable.
