No I haven't tried any, but my neuro and I had a pretty good discussion about it. There are theories that at least one form of BFS is auto-immune related. Your immune system is overactive and it is searching for something to fight even when there isn't anything there. So it attacks your nervous system. Some on this site have noted that when they are sick, their BFS symptoms abate. This would make sense if the theory is correct (however, others have posted the opposite - that bfs symptoms worsen when they get sick). Mine started after a bout with some kind of flu bug. I haven't been sick since then (now in 23rd month!) but the BFS symptoms causes tens of thousands of twitches in me every day. So I'm thinking that my immune system is "too strong" (and it is probably even stronger with all of the various supplements I have tried over the last couple of years - still on lots of vitamins). My neuro didn't discount this theory and in fact suggested that we think about trying prednisone for a short term period (a month) just to see what happens. Because of the side effects, I'm a little hesitant to try it. But maybe some day. So if you go ahead and try this, please let us know what happens.
