Tongue Twitching: Middle or Tip?

Hi,just a question (not in a panic mode now)..how many of you have encountered sporadic tongue twitching not just on the tip? I mean, I have them usually on the sides but rather in the middle of tongue, not at the tip. Few members I have talked to said they have them near the tip.Docen

Tdoc,Most of my tongue twitches are "thumpers" and "zaps" in the middle part of my tongue. Occassionally, I will get flutters on the sides or zaps on the tip. Lately, the thumpers have been occurring higher up in the middle, like 2 inches up from the tip toward the back of my mouth. The tongue twitches are my least favorite. -Matt

They first started on both sides of my tongue (either one side or the other, never at the same time), but the last couple of weeks they have been located most of all in the middle of my tongue (or somewhere around that area).By the way Matt, excuse my bad English, but what do you mean by "thumpers"?

Jujulee,Thumpers are just my way of describing the twitch. Its feels like a big single throb in the middle of my tongue. Its really quick and its usually just one, although I've had some that were up to 10 in a row! (twitches are so tough to describe because there are so many varieties!). -Matt

My tongue has twitched for well over a year now, maybe even way more if I really think about it....tip, sides, middle to the back...I feel them when they happen and its usually several times a day....would not surprise me if I looked to see a ton more I dont feel..but I refuse to look

Oh, I know what you mean then! I'd describe mines like that too (and I also get the zap ones). I have to agree, it's sooo difficult to describe a twitch...
