Renee, it was "old school" knowledge that tongue twitches were a bad sign, and I have even seen recent postings by neuro's on the MedHelp.org site stating that they have never seen a case of "benign" tongue twitches UNTIL they saw the patient he was referring his post to.
Why is this you ask? Because Top neuro's ONLY see patients that are DIAGNOSED with bad things, not benign things. Most people with benign conditions hardly ever get to see the top dogs because they are sent home well before any top neuro was scheduled to see them. Of course top neuros see benign conditions from time to time, but not nearly as much as they see patients with MG, ALS, MD and so on.
Trust me. I have read literally tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of pages and posts, text and medical reports (some that I was not supposed to see but thanks to some good doctor friends of mine, I was given access to) and LOTS of people with BFS experience tongue twitches, so please try to relax

I have even had a tongue twitch or two about a year ago. It only lasted a few seconds, but it was there.
Some people say that have had tongue twitches last as long as other people having eye twitches (which usually last a long time) and none of these people have ALS or anything bad like that. Again, try to relax and trust me. I'm not blowing smoke...
