Tongue Twitches: What to Expect

tongue twitches are coming been having weird sensations in my tongue for awhile now and think I just had a small one I dont know if I will be prepared for this
 
Tripper, after all the assurance u have to support your bfs diagnosis and all the bfs'rs here that have had tongue twitches, what are you not prepared for? It's just another muscle twitch lol
 
I do get them..not just "possible" ones...I defnitely have tongue occassional tongue fasciculations. I can see them and feel them when they are going. First one 7 months ago and still eating and talking just fine.If you want to provoke them, move with your tongue from left to right as fast as possible and then let it rest on the floor of your mouth. The specialiast I saw said that axons innervating my tongue are from some reason hyperexcitable.
 
The first tongue twitch I had was the day my daughter was born 4 yrs ago..felt a pulling on the tip of my tongue and they lasted for about 2 weeks a few times a day. Then they went away, and now I get them once every couple months..just a couple pulls here and there...but the actual visual twitch is very small...but it is there. I too was scared...but after 4 years, I am almost sure they are benign...I am now dealing with twitching in the soft palate..just above my uvula....not a fan at all.
 
So what is the deal with tongue tightness and twitches starting two years after first twitch anyone else had similar no no jaw numbness but have had numbness in the past
 
You are right my friend but even though two years into this this is real unnerving hopefully not in the real sense no pun intended lol ugh thanks for the reassurance guys
