Tongue Sensory Issues - Help?

anyone here have sensory issues with your tonge? I have tingling, buzzing something on the edge in the middle by my teeth. It's hard to explain. Few twitches in that area. It's been on and off for a few weeks now. Of course I can't stop lookng. Nothing abnormal that I can see. Any feedback appreciated.
 
I have had the exact same thing you describe for two years. The tongue stuff started at the same thing everything else did around July 08. It has never gotten worse and I have no speech problems or tongue weakness. I went to the dentist a few days ago and even asked him if he saw anything unusual with my tongue and he said no. If you search my posts for "tongue" you will find a lot of stuff on this symptom. I met someone on another site who used to post here who has had bodywide twitching and tongue twitching for 13 years with no progression beyond twitching.
 
The twitching is so off and on that I'm not concearned with it as much as the sensory things. I asked my Dr if tounge twitching can be benign and he said yes. I also know that even as a kid I would get it here and there after eating ice cream or something. I have bad TMJ and anxiety and when I'm nervous I play with my tounge a lot. I chew stuff, stick it out and lick my goatee etc. :) I am hoping that something I am doing is causing this.
 
YES!!!! I have it. The buzzing,twitching,vibrating tongue. Remember when we were kids and we would stick our tongues on the ends of batteries and get that prickly feeling. Yep that is what it is like on various parts of my tongue. Oh yea...don't tell me you never put a battery in your mouth either. I know you did! :D)
 
Every voluntary muscles can twitch, tingle and so on ...So .. the tongue can :( Never had trouble with my tongue :unsure: ... I should be lucky in that area :sick:
