Tongue Impressions: Muscle Weakness?

Hi guy today i have noticed that i have teeth impressions on my tongue upper teeth, when i bite down or open my mouth while my tongue is at rest i can see them on my tongue and they stay there, until i move my tongue. Would this be the sign of muscle weakens. i do not have any tongue weakness or anthrophy, do any of you have this symptom. Thanks

It means that you are clenching your teeth, likely from stress. Scalloped tongue is seen about as frequently as heartburn...Later...

Completely common, whether you have bfs, or not. There are many posts on here that have asked just this same question...so, you are fine. :D) I get it myself from time to time, depending on if I have eaten some kind of food which disagrees.Basso

I noticed this also when I was having anxiety about mouth issues. It's totally normal. My upper jaw is smaller than my lower jaw, so my teeth rest on my tongue when I close my mouth, but am not clenching my teeth together. Muscle weakness is slurring words, etc.You are fine.LF

i have them.. mine dont go away.. they are a permanent part of my mouth-- i didnt notice them until all of this started ( either 10 months or 8 months ago, depending on how you "count it--either with my calf muscle only or my all over twitches )-- i had my dentist and my gp look-- they said common and no worries about it.

I have teeth impressions too. They really reaked me out a couple months ago, but I work at a newspaper and have access to a lot of stock photos, so I did a "tongue" search and found lots of pictures of people with scalloped tongues. Nothing to worry about.

I have the same, on both sides (although I think the teeth marks on the right side are more severe). Like you BK, I never noticed them before, though my dentist claims that I've always had them. Absolutely nothing to worry about!!

I don't think so, probably a sign of jaw strength if anything.Whatever if you search around you will find that a "scalloped" tongue is not uncommon here, it is something that most people would not even notice, we have the ill fortune to be hyperobservant.
