Toes Moving Uncontrollably: Need Advice

I really need to know if anyone experiences anything similar to this. So far I have seen no evidence on the boards. I know I have posted about my toes before, but I am hoping someone can be a little more specific and not just tell me I am fine. I am guilty of doing just that on occassion, so I understand, but I am nervous about this and need to know if it is anything to worry about. My toes move on their own if any pressure is put on the pad of my foot. They bounce up and down like with clonus. They will also do this little action if I press on the side of the toes or if I rest my foot on the heel and hit my calf. They just jump up and down in a jerky manner. I am very scared of this and don't remember if I had this symptom before seeing the neuro.Does anyone have similar movement in their toes?Becky

You couldn't find this when you searched the board? I'm very surprised, since toe movement is one of the most common complaints on here. What you are describing is definitely NOT clonus. Our bodies jerk, twitch, and move with bfs, and there are a lot of scary medical terms, which, if we read them from a lay-person's perspective, might seem to resemble our symptoms. However, clinically speaking, if you witnessed TRUE clonus on a neurological exam, you would see the obvious difference. I hope this helps to ease your mind. Yes, my toes have done this, as have others' I'm certain. I find that my toes will move if my leg or foot are in certain positions, as well. Almost like if I stress them, they will rebel. LOL. blessings, Sue

my toes move too but usually when I'm lying down or sitting. My fingers do it too. I am suspecting it could be a neck/spine issue or circulation issue. I will ask the neuro when I see him next month.
