Does anyone have tips for how to minimize symptoms of exercise intolerance and increase endurance? Things like diet, meds, supplements, even the optimal time of day to exercise?
well, herer I believe it is necessary to know a few things1) what was your level of excersises before2) why do you think you should keep it3) how far your excercise intolerance goesthis is important becasue of the following reasons:1) many of BFSers are so to say compulsive athlets. They really believe that the more physical load is the better for them or find a lot of pleasure in being strong and fit so sometimes do not see the reason to stop. In that case the body may talk in this way casuing excersise intolerance and therefore forcing the mind to stop aggressive workouts. If that is similar to your conditions, maybe the answer would be very simple - give out for a time and then start from low loads and carefully dose the load.2) if your excersise intolerance is very sigificant and you do not restore after reasonable break, and if even a simple walking (not a sport one) causes unusual exhausting, then there could be more reasons to worry becasue this may be an indication of viral infection consequences or methabolic disorders etc.Of course if you are a professional athlet and can not run or lift weights...well, again it means that your body at this moment is nto able to sustain your daily professional loads any more. yep ypu may say it betrays you but... but... pressing out would not make you better for sure, especially in that situation I personally am a very excersise intolerant person so never tortured myself in a gym but I know that my fellow athlets on this board usullay did not used any supplements or meds or diet especially for ecercise intolerance and that they continued to excersise just as much as having some extra movement per day, and gradully their body had restored themselves. Runners changed for walking, walkers changed for just having a walk with the dog or so, some changed to swimming (not a sport one), etc.if your concern is that excersising becomes more painful due to lactic acid biuldup, you may consider massage and hot bath if there is no contraindication) - it increases blood circulation and helps to remove lactic acid from the muscles after workout. But again, in BFS excersise intolerance is one of the signs of overload - emotional, physical or any pther name it. SO decreasing loads should have the best effect.
