Has anybody experienced a prolonged ringing in the ears or head. This is going on for 2 weeks now. It lessens at times but most is about a 6 or 7 on a scale of 10, (10 being deafining). I am about a year into to this crap now.

Traveler,For the most part, Im doing ok. Supposedly, The neuro said I have periphreal Neuropathy coupled with bcfs. The other, both ALS specialist, said she feels I have a very modest case of it if any. She also is a neuropathy expert at the University hospital in Dallas. I have been having a new thing with pain in my entire torso, especially right above and below my stomach. Lots of gurgling and noises coming from my stomach like when you get very hungry. Had my gall bladder checked and was told it was shotty. Gasto doc said even though I had a crappy gall bladder, that didnt explain all the issues I have been having in my mid section. Go figure. My left arm still is hurting. Both the wrist and elbow joints and the forearm muscle. This has been my biggest problem for a while. I can still use it, but certain movements really hurt. I have 1:640 titers on my ana bloodwork, so now Im getting sent to an rheumatologist. Unless I just coincidentally have decided to start falling apart at age 45, all my troubles have got to be related. Maybe it was the diabetes 2 that caused this or not, who knows. At least I have that under control now. I;ll see what the rheumy has to say next week. Hows things with you. I remeber you wrote a post saying your symptoms were alot like mine. Let me know.

You know my symptoms were much like yours... all the way down to the low points that you experienced. I still struggle from time to time with the mental side of it. My hands get numb, I get numbness across my shoulder blades and down the back side of my arms. Of course various ticks and jerks all over but it's my *beep* hands that just drive me nuts. Someone at one time or another posted a video of their fingers moving all over the place and if you didnt know otherwise, it could have easily been my hands. The fat muscle on my hand "quivers" 24/7 and it just drives me insane. I have not seen doctors to the extent that you have. MRI, EMG, NCT, various blood work... nuero said you have benign fasiculations and didnt want to see me again unless I got "worse." I have been contemplating going to Mayo because it just seems that it has to be something causing this, but can't help but think they will just laugh at me because of all the real problems they deal with. The numbness and tingling in my hands and the accompanied weakness gets me pretty worried sometimes. I have been drawn to your story a bit as we seem to have entered this race at about the same time. In any case good luck on your walk, if you ever wanna share war stories I'm always around. God Bless and take care.
