Thyroid Test: Reasons & Neurologist Referral

I went to my doctor and told them my symptoms they told me they will give me a thyroid test. Why is thyroid test done? I was also referred to a neurologist. Thanks

It is my understanding thyroid problems can cause twitching. A neurologist would be the next logical specialist for you to see because this sort of thing falls under their "jurisdiction." No need for alarm. It's just protocal.
