Thyroid and Muscle Twitching?

I can't seem to get a straight answer on this matter. Do thyroid problems like hypo and hyperthyroidism cause muscle twitching? I have read that thyroid problems can increase nerve compression likelihood and result in increased bouts of tendinitis, as well as giving people a general sense of fatigue. I have ulnar nerve entrapment in the elbow, the beginnings of carpal tunnel syndrome, and trigger finger ( a type of tendinitis ) in the pinky that corresponds with he entrapped ulnar nerve. There also seems to be a lot of popping an pain in my wrist on that side, as well as around my thumb base on the other side, which is suspected to be DeQuervian's Disease ( a type of tendinitis that effects the thumb/wrist muscles ) I also have, like all of us here, those god-awful random muscle twitches. Do you guys think I should get tested for this?

Yes,my mum is living proof.Fascics all the time, never before she had an over active Thyroid. She also gets the burning muscles and joints. My symtoms and fascics are different.

I have Hashimoto's (Hypothyroid) and have had twitching for almost a year now. My last Endo, told me I had *** becuase of an elevated CK level, and my thyroid levels almost normal. Since then, I have been to an *** clinic, which they told me 99.8% sure I did not have *** and have been to a neurologist, who feels the same. I am having a second EMG on Wed to make sure there are no changes in the EMG, and then I can hopefully say that all of my crazy symptoms are thyroid and stress related.Karin
