Throat Swelling: Causes?

I know this is probobly a wierd question but I am going to ask anyways. The left side of my throat feels like it is swelled kind of like my throat is blocking my throat. When I look in the mirror its kinda sticking out a little on the left side. Of course I worry that those muscles are weak and therefor loose and thats why the feeling. My question is does that make any sence at all ? Is that what it would feel like or look like? Is that what happens when it is weak muscles ? I hope this isnt too crazy of a question. On second thought yes I do. I hope its really crazy

Ok I shouldnt have but I was looking at things I shouldnt and I saw something about sometimes you will sound nasal.It scared me because my sister asked me a few days ago if I had a cold cuz I sounded sinusy. This is unreal! I am trying hard not to go into a state of shock or panic.

Try not to panic, you may just be coming down with a little something..have you TRIED thinking in that direction?
