Thigh Twitching: Extended Period?

Yes I have for almost 2 days straight, then it slowed down, area felt "funny" for a few days after. I went straight to my doctors after 24 hours as this was prior to my EMG and neuro referral. He could see it through my pants!

i have the same thing...i hate the thigh twithces because i feel like my twitches are spreading as i also still have lots of them in the back of my legs i also get back of thigh and knee and also butt

I have twitched EVERYWHERE!! and I mean EVERYWHERE. But never one that was like a pulse.. I've had hot spots in every location too... But they were more random not like this... Should I be worried?

Btw I know we spoke about this lots of times before but has anyway ever asks a specialist how do they know that this will stay begnin ? Even free many months or years

My GP ordered blood work and reassured me twitching itself is not a concern. He saw the panic it caused me and ordered the EMG as I was still waiting the neurology consult (this was last June and didn't see the neuro till October). The blood work was unchanged from my last results with low b12 and normal EMG. He acknowledged the constant twitching in my thigh was not normal twitching but said if he really thought I had something terrible going on he would call the neurologist himself. It was a frightening experience but went away. Yes while standing too, I remember being at work and going for a walk and it was still going strong while standing. It will stop soon Violetmom, and although a new type of twitching just the unpredictable part of BFS

Hi Veryworried, funny you ask as when all this started like many I was excessively self testing and examining. I noticed a dent on left outer thigh even before that area was a hotspot. I showed my GP (whom I trust and has been my doctor for 18 years) and he felt it was the distribution of adipose tissue (fat). It's still there and likely was before the days of self examining. My quads do shake from time to time not sure if they do when semi-flexed. Hope that answers your question.

This twitch is bringing me back to my initial days of being freaked out... Actually had a nervous breakdown in beginning... I don't want to go there again.. My thigh is almost constant.. I've read here that als twitches are constant until weakness occurs. I'm so scared guys... Help!!!

Sorry here is the other video showing the shaking / trembling etc I experience from semi flexing or stretching I did ask my Nero and he said it's actually a better sign He also said strong twitches are much better than slow or invisible ones

Hi Violetmom, hope you've had a good day and sorry to hear the thigh twitch has brought you back to a dark place. These symptoms are such a roller coaster ride that with new changes bring back old fears. My suggestion is keep yourself busy, try not to focus on it, exercise (show yourself how strong you are) and if you feel the anxiety has taken over a trip to the doctor is a good idea. I felt the same way when my thigh was thumping constantly but it did go away. I've had other constant twitches too..my hamstrings, eyebrows and almost everyday the arches of my feet. When I told my neuro about all the types and location of twitches I experience he wasn't concerned about any of that, didn't even care about frequency, how long they lasted. He focused on strength of those muscles. (really good neuro prior director of the ALS clinic) Veryworried, how video to me looks like a jumpy twitch I get over my whole eyebrow. Very weird looking but like your neuro said harmless.
