Thigh Soreness: a Year-long Battle

SPB:

Welcome! My thighs have been extremely sore since my symptoms began almost a year ago. It's odd because I will get periodical soreness in other places of my body, but nowhere near as bad as in my thighs. The soreness never really lets up completely, but there are days that are better than others. What I can tell you is that my strength hasn't changed a bit and is still the same as ever, so the muscles aren't dying. I'm not exactly sure what causes the soreness, but I do know there are quite a few others who experience a similar phenomenon. Also, after six years you can rest assured that it is nothing serious - your muscles aren't dying.

Take care,

diotz2 - do you get fatigue as well.

I suffered badly with muscle soreness and vague fatigue. Like you it had some spots where it was always there and it came and went in other places.

On another matter - I have read you post about thyroid problems. I have a very slightly enlarged thyroid but my TSH test was normal. Any thoughts?

Thank you for your replies to my question.

I went to three neurologists many years ago about the twitching, parathesias, etc. No one gave an official diagnosis but I had an MRI and it was fine, etc.

I am probably under some stress that is making my body react more than usual - which is turn then creates more stress - such a vicious circle.

I did find, for a number of years, that regular exercise was helpful in keeping things more level. I would have some bad days but they passed rather quickly.

This leg pain is really bothering me and I have an appt. next week.
(Or course today, I am also having the weird parasthesias in my mouth and face...ugh).

Thanks again so very much.
